Shelanda Duncan joined the full-time staff at UCF Academic Services for Student-Athletes (ASSA) in November 2020. She serves as the academic advisor for Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer and Softball.

Previously, she worked as an intern with ASSA starting in June 2019, working with a combination of Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, Football and Track/Cross country.

Prior to joining UCF, Duncan attended Quinnipiac University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with minors in sports studies and psychology. She went on to receive her Masters of Science in Higher Postsecondary Education from Syracuse University. She worked in their Athletic department during her time at Syracuse as a tutor and instructional assistant for Football, Men’s/Women’s Lacrosse, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer and Cross country/Track & field.

Shelanda is currently pursuing a second Master of Arts in Career & Technical Education with a certificate in Supporting High Needs Populations from UCF.

In her spare time, Duncan enjoys reading, cooking/baking & collecting Funko Pops.
